Posada, the ancient village

Hotel Donatella is located in Posada, an ancient medieval village and one of the oldest centers in Sardinia. Â is located at the foot of Montalbo, in the province of Nuoro, Posada is included in the Tepilora Nature Park , comprising several towns up to the mouth of Rio Posada.

Over the centuries, the village has been a place of transit and stop for trades, hence the origin of the name “Pasa” in Sardinian means “stop”, “rest”. Posada, with its fortified town, the Castle of Fava , the plain of the river by the same name with its relevant wetlands, the long beaches and dune systems, has received numerous awards for activities in defense of its territory and in favor of responsible and sustainable tourism development, such as 5 sails of the Blue Guide by Legambiente.

Posada beach is only 1.5 km away from the Hotel, due to its beauty and sea quality, it has been awarded with five sails by Legambiente and Touring Club for 5 consecutive years, winning the first places in the national ranking.

At a few km you can find some of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia, among which Oasis of Bidderosa , Berchidda and the amazing white sand beaches of San Teodoro and Capo Coda Cavallo at a driving distance of only 10 minutes.
